Vintage Native American handmade 925 sterling silver heishi bear necklace
Really fantastic piece. Delicate and perfect for stacking, also fabulous on its own for those that like a lighter look. The bear is a sacred animal of many meanings in Native American culture. Most prevalently, the symbol of the bear is a sign of spiritual and physical power and courage. The necklace features 925 sterling silver heishi tube beads, ball beads, and at the center is a rustic bear. All silver parts tested as sterling silver except for the clasp section with the end ball clasps and the clasp. Also includes turquoise colored beads. Appears that one is MISSING. The bear has a lot of surface solder marks. Believed to be a 60s piece. Heishi necklaces are usually not stamped unless they have cone ends. Lots of fabulous patina from age.
